How It Begins
Our work begins with listening: to your body, your voice, and the land that holds us.
It is by weaving the wisdom of your body, your voice and the land together that we begin to sing a new world into being.
What We Do
To bring my dream into the world, I mentor women who wish to deepen their relationship with their voice. Our work may begin with a focus on an upcoming presentation, resolving an interpersonal conflict or another specific vocal goal that you wish to work on. Alternatively, it may start as an open exploration of how your voice impacts your relationships and your experience of life. This work may be particularly helpful for any woman who: • engages in public speaking, leadership, advocacy or community organizing roles; • often feels unheard or misunderstood when she speak to others; • experiences conflict in her relationships; • feels a lack of alignment between her inner world and her outer world; • wishes to explore her voice in any way; or, • wants to deepen into connection with herself and the world around her. Our work together may include: • vocal play, including noise-making, singing and speaking, to discover your full range of sound; • somatic practices and movement exploration to help connect your voice and body; • writing and storytelling to hear what your voice wants to say; and, • art and ritual practices. Each of us is unique and so too are our voices. In our work together we meet each other as we are, and we play with what is present and supportive for you in the moment. Through deep embodied listening I sense both the story being spoken and the words waiting to be said out loud. As you unleash your voice, I act as a loving witness to the transformative change that seeks to emerge. Together, we discover the story of your voice and what it longs to create in this world.
